Stephen A. Smith has publicly trolled Dak Prescott on social media after the quarterback has promised that he'll throw no more than 10 interceptions this season, following a career-high in 2022. 

Prescott, 29, led the league in interceptions - 15 - last year along with Davis Mills, of the , but only played 12 games compared to Mills' 15. What's more is that Prescott threw five interceptions in two postseason games against the and . 

Prescott hasn't had a worst season for Jerry Jones' team since his sophomore year in 2017, when he threw 13 interceptions in 16 games played.

That season, the Cowboys failed to reach the playoffs. 

'I won't have 10 interceptions this year,' Prescott told The Forth Worth Star-Telegram earlier this month, adding: 'I know who I am, and you can go back and take away half of those off drops.'

On Monday, Smith took to Twitter to show how he feels about Prescott's claim while simultaneously trolling the quarterback by just sharing a single picture of himself that's turned into a meme over recent years.

Prescott is resolved to end the Cowboys' 18-year postseason misery of missing out on a spot in a conference title game, as the franchise continues to lose in either the wild card or divisional rounds since last winning the Super Bowl in 1995. 

To end that drought, Dallas has brought in Brian Schottenheimer as the team's new offensive coordinator following the departure of Kellen Moore to the LA Chargers.

But, Smith isn't optimistic about the Cowboys turning the tide around anytime soon, hence his tweet of a photo of his own skeptical facial expression in response to Prescott's prediction. 

Prescott hasn't thrown less than 10 interceptions since the 2020 season, when he was picked off four times in just five games.

4  has thrown double-digit interceptions in four of six seasons though he's adamant that it's not entirely been his fault. 

'I know who I am, and you can go back and take away half of those off drops,' the quarterback further told the Star-Telegram.

'I'm not saying it's on the receiver, but if you cut that in half then we start talking about those, nobody is talking about it.'

'Some of it is the offense and them understanding exactly where we are,' he added.
